Theoretical aspects regarding Proton Recoil Counters

In the present article some theoretical aspects are formulated taking into account multiple scattering of neutrons on hydrogen nuclei, occupying a limited volume. As a consequence, an increased number of protons produced per sec, with energy in a certain energy interval E to E+de, is considered. This is due to the possibility that a neutron may mobilize more than one protons, with energy in the range of interest, before escaping from the volume occupied by the hydrogen nuclei.
